Softball Instruction



Lifeletics Softball is focused on high-quality instruction helping to develop winners on and off the field. Currently focused in Academy-style and individual instruction, Lifeletics instructors are the experts in their field. A large part of coaching and teaching athletes is the ability to communicate with and relate to them. Lifeletics softball instructors are terrific coaches, positive role models, and share a sincere desire to help today's players improve!

Individual Instruction
Currently, Lifeletics is offering individual instruction for athletes in hitting and fastpitch. Instructor Kayla Rice offers high-quality, fundamental instruction in catching, hitting and fielding, focusing on a blend of physical and mental execution. Lifeletics instructor Jenn Olvera offers instruction in both fastpitch and hitting. And 2-time Olympian Amanda Freed offers periodic clinics and seminars. Individual lessons are half-hour in length, offered at the Lifeletics Indoor Training Facility in Huntington Beach (info: 714-843-1989).


Lifeletics Instructor - Kayla Rice

Former All-American Gina LiebengoodKayla Rice embodies the Lifeletics philosophy - Teach young athletes to become better athletes on and off of the field! Chosen for her combination of teacher and coach, Kayla brings a balanced background of playing and coaching fastpitch softball. She prides herself on being a positive influence and role model in every young life that she encounters. As well as being active in the Lifeletics softball family, Kayla coaches for the Worth Firecrackers 18U Gold squad. Lifeletics is truly fortunate to have Kayla as a member of our team! Lifeletics Instructor - Jenn Olvera

Jenn OlveraJenn Olvera joined the Lifeletics staff in 2007. A well-rounded positive role model, Jenn was all business on the field starring first for Gilroy High School and then Vanguard University. Jenn pitched and hit while at Vanguard, leading the team in wins, strikeouts and innings pitched for two years. Currently, Jenn offers fastpitch, hitting and fielding lessons at the Lifeletics Indoor Training Facility.

  • 2-time All League and Team MVP at Gilroy HS
  • 2006 - Vanguard University Team MVP
  • 2007 - 2008 - Assistant Coach - Vanguard U
  • 2009 - Received MBA from Vanguard
  • Works professionally for the OC Fair and Event Center as coordinator

 

Lifeletics Clinician - Amanda Freed

Amanda FreedAmanda Freed is one of the most decorated softball players in USA history! A three-time All-American while at UCLA, she won a NCAA National Championship in 1999 before starring for the Team USA Olympic Team for 5 years. In 2004, Freed won a Gold Medal at the Athens Olympics. Her resume is second to none, but Lifeletics truly appreciates her humility and grace in teaching the game. Amanda works hard to ensure that each athlete maximizes their experience from the game, focusing her energy on improvement during clinics, seminars and lessons. Amanda also played three seasons of professional softball and currently works for ESPN. Summer & Winter Softball Academy
Currently there are no softball academies being offered.

At the Lifeletics Summer Softball Academy, athletes train Monday through Friday experiencing 17.5 full hours of softball instruction. Develop your skills with fun and challenging workouts. Athlete to coach ratio firmly held at 6:1, and itineraries involve competition, games and speed, strength and agility training.
